Voc4Cat: The Open Vocabulary for Catalysis Research Data
At the Leibniz Institute for Catalysis (LIKAT), a cloud-based research data platform has been developed within the NFDI4Cat consortium. Its core is Voc4Cat an open, machine-readable vocabulary that standardizes terms from laboratory work, analytics, and modeling. The aim is to make catalysis research data consistent, findable, and interoperable.
About 500 precisely defined terms with unique IRIs, synonyms, and semantic relations
Open community: contributions and comments via GitHub; curation ensures quality
FAIR-aligned: facilitates search, linking, and reuse of research data
Integration into journals, ELNs, and research portals; ChemCatChem already uses Voc4Cat keywords
AI support in progress: automatic processing of published papers for Voc4Cat
