SHORT DESCRIPTION

The RDM School of Catalysis is an interactive workshop, that covers all aspects of RDM relevant for catalysis-related research, from creation of data in the lab up to publication and reuse. The modular structure allows for tailored iterations to specific topics, timeframes (up to 2 days) and the target audiences.

  • Realistic case studies and examples rooted in catalytic research processes.
  • Participants gain hands-on experience with RDM tools and services developed within NFDI4Cat, including repositories, metadata standards, and ELN integration.
  • Participants learn how to structure, document, share, and reuse data efficiently—ready to apply in ongoing and future projects.

PROBLEM STATEMENT

RDM is not yet sufficiently integrated into education in catalysis-related sciences. Existing training is often generic, with few tailored offerings beyond limited regional efforts. As a result, RDM is often seen as a burdensome obligation rather than a valuable research asset, and its benefits remain underappreciated.
