Successful Kickoff for NFDI4Cat 2.0

We are thrilled to announce the successful launch of NFDI4Cat 2.0 at DECHEMA, marking a major milestone in the digital transformation of catalysis-related sciences. At the heart of this initiative are three powerful use cases, each uniting academic excellence with industrial expertise to tackle real-world challenges in sustainable chemical production.

Use Cases Presented

  • Sustainable production of alcohols from synthesis gas – mentored by BASF / hte GmbH
  • Sustainable production of olefins through catalysis – mentored by Linde / Clariant
  • Combination of chemical and biotechnological processes for specialty chemicals – mentored by Evonik

A heartfelt thank you to our industrial mentors for their commitment and guidance. Your involvement ensures that our research remains grounded in practical relevance and industrial impact.

We are also proud to highlight our cooperation with PMD (Plattform MaterialDigital), which strengthens our shared vision for interoperable, FAIR data spaces and cross-consortia collaboration.

Together, we are building a Joint Data Space for Catalysis, empowering researchers to access, share, and build upon each other’s work - driving innovation across the catalysis value chain.

Stay tuned for more updates and opportunities to engage. Let’s shape the future of catalysis - digitally, collaboratively, and sustainably.
